Dr. Findora’s Story
Dr. Findora grew up in Clarkston, Michigan, but spent as much time as possible in the barns of Oxford and Metamora, riding and driving horses. She decided at the age of 4 to become a veterinarian and never wavered from this goal. Dr. Findora graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After graduation, she completed a one-year surgery and medicine internship in Aurora, Oregon. She continued to practice for two additional years in Oregon at a high-volume small animal general practice.
After three years away, the call of family was too strong and Dr. Findora moved back home in 2011. After relocating Dr. Findora took up the challenge of emergency medicine working all hours of the day and night seeing exciting medicine and surgery cases. After 4 years in emergency, she returned to general practice (and a more normal schedule) by opening Fox Run Animal Hospital in 2015.
Dr. Findora focuses on high-quality medicine and surgery centered on the needs of the patient and their family. Her special interests include client education, soft tissue surgery, comparative ophthalmology (eyes), and backyard chickens. She loves continuing education and teaching the staff new things.
Dr. Findora and her daughter, Mikayla, live in the in the Metamora-Lapeer area with their dog Jackson and 5 cats. Dr. Findora enjoys horses, hiking, camping, gardening and playing the trumpet.
Dr. Findora is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She is also an active member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Lapeer and the Lapeer Area Entrepreneurs.
