Meet Alicia Findora, DVM
Dr. Findora started her professional journey in middle school, where she began taking classes that focus on biology and chemistry as well as working at local barns as a groomer and farm hand. Her forward-thinking approach landed her in medical school after only three years undergrad, and she graduated from MSU School of Veterinary Medicine before her 25th birthday.
Dr. Findora is a native Michigander who grew up in Clarkston when it was still a “rural” community. Aside from attending Michigan State University, Dr. Findora moved to Oregon, where she completed a one-year surgical internship and then spent two years working at a small-animal clinic serving low-income families. She has otherwise lived in the northern Oakland and Lapeer County area. Her family, friends, and business are all rooted here, making her deeply invested in the community—both personally and professionally.
When Dr. Findora returned to Michigan in 2011, she worked in emergency medicine and in 2015 she opened Fox Run Animal Hospital. By then she formed a solid foundation on which to build a practice that focuses on high-quality medicine. She enjoys the challenge of diagnosing a difficult case or performing complicated surgery almost as much as establishing relationships built on years of trust and mutual respect.
To maintain her high level of skills, Dr. Findora attends continuing education seminars and events, often overlapping it with a vacation with her daughter. Recently she included her mom and went on an African safari. She also enjoys community events, such as the Metamora
Balloon Festival, when she closes early so the entire staff can enjoy the balloon launch.
